Virtua Ranked Top Health Care Brand in New Jersey for 2025

May 27, 2025 - Consumer Surveying Places Virtua Among Top-40 U.S. Health Care Brands for Second Consecutive Year

May 27, 2025

Virtua Health has reaffirmed its position as one of the country’s best health care brands, according to a new report by Monigle, a leading U.S. brand consultancy. The New Jersey not-for-profit health system, whose philosophy is to be “Here for Good,” is the highest-ranked health-system brand in New Jersey and the second-highest ranked in both the Philadelphia and New York markets.

This year marks Virtua’s second consecutive top-40 appearance in Monigle’s annual Humanizing Brand Experience report. The report ranks more than 200 health care brands based entirely on consumer feedback and engagement, using Monigle’s well-validated scoring system.

The full list is available here.

Virtua improved its ranking in every major category over the prior year,  including consumer feedback on reputation, intent to use services, advocacy, and satisfaction.

“Monigle’s research helps us better understand what’s most important to our patients and community so we can best meet their needs,” said Chrisie Scott, senior vice president and chief marketing officer for Virtua. “Today’s consumer not only wants excellent care. They want providers who truly listen to them and see them as a unique individual. They want easy access to services and responsiveness from their care team, to name just a few important preferences.”

Monigle’s proprietary framework establishes four “drivers” – sensorial, intellectual, emotional, and behavioral – that shape how people sense, think, feel, and act in response to a brand. Study participants are asked about their first-hand knowledge of health systems in their region and also weigh in on less tangible qualities like positive “buzz.”

“Virtua colleagues have dedicated themselves to providing outstanding experiences built on trust for everybody, always,” said Scott. “That requires a deep commitment to being human-centric and ‘here for good.’”

Grant Mason, head of behavioral insights at Monigle, agrees.

“Brand matters in health care. It impacts choice, loyalty, and patient satisfaction,” said Mason. “The brands that are most effective, like Virtua, pay attention to what people want and need, and create strong connections with their patients and communities.”
