Debra Moran
Senior Vice President of Health Equity and Community Programs
Debra Moran is senior vice president of health equity and community programs for Virtua Health, the largest not-for-profit health system in southern New Jersey. In her role, Moran oversees Virtua’s strategic initiatives to make comprehensive care services more accessible and equitable to diverse populations – with extra focus on under-represented, often marginalized individuals. Signature projects include the award-winning Eat Well food access program and the Healthy Neighbor program, in partnership with Medtronic LABS. Moran also has oversight for the pulmonary service line, security, sleep centers, wound care, children’s behavioral health programs (CASTLE), and Virtua’s childcare center.
Moran is noted for progressive leadership and a demonstrated history of colleague engagement, physician relations, community building, and effective operations. A native of Camden, N.J., Moran supports Virtua’s robust city campus at 1000 Atlantic Avenue, in addition to the multi-purpose health and wellness center in Berlin, N.J.
Moran is formerly the vice president of community-based services and, prior, vice president and site administrator for Virtua Marlton Hospital. She first joined Virtua in 1975.
Moran earned a Master of Science in organizational and strategic leadership from Neumann University in Aston, Penn. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in allied health management from Widener University in Chester, Penn.
