Rhonda Jordan
Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer
Rhonda Jordan is executive vice president and chief human resources officer for Virtua Health. In this role, Jordan serves as Virtua’s strategic and operational leader, setting Virtua’s vision for utilizing the organization’s people resources to achieve its mission of Be Well, Get Well, and Stay Well. Jordan is responsible for the development and execution of the people strategy, in all aspects of Talent Management, Organizational Culture, Change and Development, Talent Acquisition, and Compensation and Benefits.
Jordan brings over 30 years of human resources experience to the position. For almost 24 years, she has held progressively responsible positions at Virtua, including senior vice president, vice president, assistant vice president, and director of human resources, where she provided strategic human resource partnership and oversight. Jordan has implemented talent management solutions and systems in the areas of employee and labor relations, organizational effectiveness, performance management, and leadership assessment.
Certified as a senior HR professional through the Society for Human Resource Management, she has been instrumental in the identification of high performers and high potential leaders, and in executive and developmental coaching. In 2019, following the coming together of Virtua Health and Lourdes Health System, Jordan led the introduction of an exciting and renewed culture — the Culture of WE — and the launch of a more in-depth and comprehensive inclusion, diversity and equity initiative.
Prior to joining Virtua, Jordan held human resources management and leadership positions in other health care and retail industries, including Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).
One of South Jersey Biz magazine’s “2017 Women to Watch,” Jordan earned her undergraduate degree from Lamar University and received an MS in performance improvement and training from Capella University. Jordan is Six Sigma green belt trained and star coach certified. She is a master coach and is certified through the Success Unlimited Network. Jordan actively volunteers in her community, including serving as Board Member on the Junior Achievement State Board and a Board Member for Center for Ambulatory and Minimally Invasive Surgery. She is also an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., serving on various committees.
