Cardiogenic Shock
- Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO): An external device pumps and oxygenates your blood, allowing your heart and lungs to rest.
- Intra-aortic balloon pump: A tiny balloon inserted into the aortic artery inflates and deflates to move blood coming from your heart.
- Impella heart pump: A small pump implanted through a catheter into the left side of your heart draws oxygenated blood from the heart and pushes it out to the body.
Pulmonary Embolism
- Mechanical thrombectomy: Inserted through a catheter, the FlowTriever uses suction to pull a clot out of a pulmonary artery in the lungs.
