Midwifery Birth and Wellness Center Orientation

The Orientation class is the first class you will take in our education series. The earlier you can get into this class, the better. In this class, you are introduced to our Midwifery Birth & Wellness philosophy of care as well as the midwifery model of care and how they will both prepare you for a birth at the Midwifery Birth & Wellness Center. You will learn about our team of midwives and birth assistants complete with pictures. We review the required ongoing Risk Assessments that occur during your prenatal care within the practice of the Midwifery Birth & Wellness Center. We discuss the implications and process of transfer to Virtua Hospital Voorhees if needed. You will also be guided on a 3-D tour of the Midwifery Birth & Wellness Center with recorded discussions from each midwife. There are many opportunities to ask questions throughout the class. This class is very interactive and informative and assists you in deciding if the Midwifery Birth & Wellness experience is the right fit for you and your family.
